Title: Energy Harvesting for A Green IoT
Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) relies on massive machine-type communications and large scale wireless sensor networks (WSNs). How to power trillions of low-power sensors and small computing devices without the need for cords and battery replacement becomes an open challenge to enable fully passive, self-sustained IoT. In this talk, we will overview state-of-the-art energy harvesting techniques for battery-less IoT applications. In particular, a new paradigm to capture wireless energy from ambient radio signals will be introduced. The contents will include my latest research progress in energy harvesting antenna, energy conversion circuit and power management ICs. Some examples and industrial designs for wireless energy enabled green IoT products will also be introduced.
