Congratulations to Jiayu Hou for being awarded with the ISSS summer scholarship.

Her project is under the topic of future millimetre wave (mmWave) wireless communications. The aim of this project is to explore signal-oriented characterisation method to evaluate the performance of power amplifiers (PAs) in dynamic uncontrollable operation scenarios caused by near-field coupling of reconfigurable antenna arrays, and more importantly to understand how the resulting non-linearity of the PAs will impact the efficacy of different multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) precoding algorithms.
