We are delighted that two early-stage ventures stemming from our group have been awarded support through the Heriot-Watt Enterprise Fund in partnership with Converge, with each project receiving £1,000 to help bring their innovations closer to market. The fund provides students and researchers with early stage backing to test ideas, build prototypes, and accelerate development.

• Radio Transceivers for Cube Satellites – Anderson (Sandy) Kenneth Dakers is developing compact, space-ready radio modules designed for CubeSat missions, improving reliability and performance for small satellites.
• Energy-Harvesting Battery-Free IoT for Massive Deployment – Shayan Majumder is exploring ultra-low-power Internet of Things (IoT) devices that harvest energy from their surroundings, reducing reliance on batteries and enabling sustainable sensor networks.
