Dr. Haijun Fan received the bachelor’s degree in applied physics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, in 2009, the master’s degree in electromagnetic and microwave technology and Ph.D. degree in electronic science and technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2011 and 2016, respectively.
Dr. Fan is currently an Assistant Professor with the Institute of Sensors, Signals and Systems, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K. His current research interest includes MMIC power amplifier, integrated antenna array, filter synthesis, and 6G related areas. From 2019-2020, he was a Senior MMIC Power Amplifier Design Engineer with Ampleon, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. From 2018-2019, he was a Research Associate with Institute of Sensors, Signals and Systems, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Department of Electronic Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China, from 2016-2017. Dr. Fan was a recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of China Institute of Communications in 2017.
