Alejandro Baldominos-Delgado was born in Guadalajara, Spain, in 1995. He received the BEng (Honours) and M.Sc. degrees in Telecommunications Engineer in University of Alcalá, in 2017 and 2019 respectively. He worked during his student years in several projects of software for satellite applications in the Space Research Group of University of Alcalá and as an antenna engineer in the framework of RadioNet project in Yebes Observatory, with a strong background in reflector antennas and broadband feed systems for radio astronomy. As a result of his work in this framework, he finished his master’s thesis “Optimization of astronomical feed antennas with genetic algorithms”. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree at Heriot-Watt University. His research interests include analysis and design of reflector antennas and signal processing such as beamforming and precoding techniques for satellite communication systems.
