Benoit ROLLAND is a PhD researcher within the European MSCA SPARE project, a collaborative initiative between Thales Alenia Space (Toulouse) and Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh). He graduated from ENSEIRB-MATMECA (Bordeaux) in 2025, specializing in Radio Frequency (RF) systems and Telecommunications.

His research focuses on advanced RF characterization, with a particular emphasis on load-pull effects and the behavioral modeling of power amplifiers (PA) and antennas operating in the Ka and Ku bands. Through his work, he aims to optimize high-frequency communication systems for next-generation applications. Outside of the laboratory, Benoit is an avid sports enthusiast and a dedicated triathlete, bringing the same level of discipline and perseverance to his training as he does to his research.
