Julian Birk was born 1997 in Goslar, Germany
He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart where he finished his studies in 2022.
From 2022 to 2023 , Julian served an internship at boltzplatz GmbH with a focus on simulation of rarefied plasmas.
Currently, he’s working as a PhD student on a flatsat for system testing of cubesats and a digital twin of the system .
His research interests range from numerical simulation, rarefied gas dynamics and orbit mechanics to small satellite development and system design, flight readiness testing and digital twinning.
