We have developed a tool for the analysis of reflector antennas using Physical Optics (PO). This tool, which is structured in Object Oriented programming. can be used both using the Graphical User Interface available or with the source code. The source code of the tool can be used and/or modified to fit the specific purposes of the project.

The tool has been used in many projects of several kinds, in particular the following:

  • Design of reflector antennas both in single and dual configuration.
  • Design of shaped reflector configurations for continental coverage.
  • Design of Linear-to-Circular Polarising Reflector Antennas
  • Analysis and design of shaped reflectors
  • Efficient estimation of Single Feed per Beam, Multiple Feed per Beam as well as Array Fed Reflector Multibeam Antennas for global coverage of geostationary orbit satellite missions.
  • Multi-disciplinary optimisations of satellite payload combined with signal processing for continental coverage missions.
