New Faculty onboard

Welcome Dr. Wenda Li joining our group from October 2023 as an Assistant Professor.

Dr Wenda Li currently is an assistant professor of telecommunication at the Institute of Sensors, Signals and Systems, Heriot Watt University. He was a lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Science and Engineering, University of Dundee between 2022 and 2023. He obtained his PhD at the University of Bristol in 2018 with research focused on remote sensing techniques. After that, he joined the University of Birmingham as a Research Fellow and moved to the University College London in 2019 also as a Research Fellow.

Dr Li’s most recent research is on joint communication and sensing technology. He has worked on five research projects funded by EPSRC, Innovate UK, etc and in close partnership with leading industries such as HUAWEI. So far, he has published over 50 publications in top rank journals and conferences. He is a member of IEEE and IET, and an invited guest editor for special issues in MDPI Sensor Journal and IET Radar, Sonar & Navigation. He received the best paper award in 2018 IEEE Cyber Science and Technology Congress, and shortlisted to the best paper in 2023 IET Radar conference.
